The Right Direction.

The EthikKom project focuses on developing the ethical competences of higher education students in the Czech–German border region. It provides practical tools that help students better understand ethical issues and make informed decisions in situations related to their studies and future professional lives.

The core of the project is the joint development of digital self-study modules (SLE – Selbstlerneinheiten). The modules cover two main areas: ethical dilemmas in higher education and ethics in professional and intercultural practice. They are developed by mixed Czech–German student teams under the guidance of experts in ethics and education.

The learning materials are freely available and can be used in both face-to-face and distance learning. They combine digital education with practical situations and support the development of ethical and intercultural competences.

Cross-border cooperation is an essential part of the project. Joint work by Czech and German students promotes the exchange of experiences, a better understanding of cultural differences, and the identification of shared approaches to ethical issues.

The EthikKom project is implemented within the framework of the Interreg Bavaria–Czechia cross-border cooperation programme and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and the state budget of the Czech Republic.
